Texas Advocacy Day 2017
Together. Shaping the Future.
One of the most important activities of BOMA Texas is our own involvement in the legislation and regulatory process. Statewide Legislative Advocacy Day is one of our best opportunities to communicate real estate legislative concerns in a unified fashion to our State Representatives and Senators. It is again time for Texas BOMA members to unite in Austin to help ensure your important issues receive attention and to maintain ongoing relationships with legislators and their key staff.

Your time in representing BOMA to our elected officials will pay great dividends for our legislative efforts. So mark your calendars and help make BOMA a more recognized force by participating in Advocacy Day 2017!

Taxed Out Of Town
Will your employer be “taxed out of town”? Without appraisal district and property tax reform, major Texas cities face the challenge of retaining businesses within their borders. Many are unaware that property taxes are paid by the businesses who lease space in Texas. Uncontrolled valuation increases have placed an incredible financial burden on our Texas businesses – from the major corporations to the mom and pop establishments.

Taxed out of Town is committed to finding solutions on Texas property taxation that do not place unnecessary burden on commercial property owners, their tenants, small businesses and residents.

“Taxed out of Town” is an initiative established by members of the Building Owners and Managers Association across Texas.
